Boussard Les Griottes Bourgogne Pinot Noir

LES GRIOTTES 2023 from Domaine Boussard is a classic and charming expression of Burgundy Pinot Noir, crafted with a focus on finesse, balance, and terroir. The grapes are sourced from sloping vineyards with clay-limestone soils near Chablis, resulting in an elegant structure and a pure, fruit-driven profile. This is a wine that appeals to both seasoned Burgundy enthusiasts and those seeking an approachable yet authentic Pinot Noir. With its refined style, moderate tannins, and layered complexity, LES GRIOTTES is an excellent choice for both everyday indulgence and refined dining occasions.

Aroma and taste

LES GRIOTTES 2023 opens with an inviting and nuanced bouquet, showcasing classic Pinot Noir characteristics. Aromas of fresh red berries such as cherry, raspberry, and redcurrant dominate, complemented by subtle hints of darker fruit like blackberry. Beneath these primary notes lie delicate floral nuances and gentle spice tones that add depth and complexity.

On the palate, the wine is silky and well-balanced, supported by a lively acidity that enhances freshness and precision. The flavor profile mirrors the nose, with juicy red berries at the core, accompanied by touches of lightly candied fruit and discreet oak influences from aging in French barrels. The tannins are medium and finely integrated, providing structure without overshadowing the wine’s elegance.

The finish is long and harmonious, with a subtle mineral edge reflecting the limestone terroir. Overall, this is a classic Burgundy Pinot Noir focused on elegance over power—a wine that evolves beautifully in the glass and can be enjoyed both young and after several years of cellaring.
