Among other things, I found this wonderful A(l\/t)titude Chardonnay there.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe wine has its roots in the area around Limoux, where the altitude and cool nights help give the Chardonnay grape a lovely freshness and elegance.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch3\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eWhat does it taste like?\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/h3\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eImagine a Chardonnay with delightful notes of ripe pears, peach, and fresh grapefruit, elegantly accompanied by vanilla and toasted almonds.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eOn the palate, it is round, soft, and slightly buttery with a beautiful fruit fullness. But just as you are enjoying its full-bodied character, the freshness kicks in and creates a wonderful balance.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e60% of the wine is produced in tanks, while 40% is aged in wood. This results in a Chardonnay where fruit, body, and finesse all have their place.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch3\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eWhat should you serve it with?\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/h3\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eTry it with fish, roast chicken, risotto with shrimp and leeks, or a delicious cheese board. It is also an obvious choice as a nice glass before dinner.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eServe at 10–13 °C.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch3\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eWhy did I choose it?\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/h3\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eI have long been looking for Chardonnay wines where the quality is high, but the price is still affordable.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eI want to be able to offer you wines that taste like much more than you might expect in this price range. Wines that you look forward to opening – even on a regular Tuesday.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eAnd this Chardonnay is exactly the type of wine I want on the shelves at Whiskystack.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eSome look for treasure.
